History
San Vicente’s history is as interesting as its magnificent topography. The municipality’s roots started in 1952. Migrants from the island of Cuyo arrived in Malagnang, a muddy sitio of Kemdeng which, in turn, was part of Puerto Princesa City in the Palawan mainland. At this time, Kemdeng was already bristling with Agutaynens, migrants from the neighboring island of Agutaya.

San Vicente is a bouquet of different people. Learn about their unique music, rhythmic dances and ethnic practices. San Vicente shares the same colorful, mystic culture with the rest of Palawan. Topography
Palawan is a long narrow paradise comprising of 1,768 islands with a total land area of 1.5 million hectares. This province, the largest in the country, is located southwest from the rest of the Philippines. 2,000 kilometers of lovely shoreline, indented by coves and bays, offer an endless opportunity for adventure and fun. The province is surrounded by the pristine waters of the South China Sea and the Sulu Sea.

Malagnang Festival
The Philippines is a hot, tropical country. Although many welcome the sun’s warmth on their lands, they equally welcome the cool and refreshing rainy season. Rain season spells bounty for everyone. It quenches the parched lands, cleanses the air and cools down people’s throats. At the end of the rainy season, one can literally feel the freshness of the land, signifying a new start in life.
